Powering our economy using renewable energy is critical for limiting future temperature rises. For transport, responsible for 24 per cent of Global CO2 emissions, annually the obvious choice is to switch from the combustion engine to electric vehicles, powering them from clean sources. But there are other issues to be aware of from an Environmental, Social and Governance perspective, relating to the raw material sourcing, manufacturing of battery components and assembly and infrastructure.
